Shelly (she/her/hers) arrived at Roche + Associates with a wealth of life experience that complements her training. She is a warm and thoughtful therapist who is committed to providing exceptional integrative psychotherapy and counseling services to children, teens, adults and couples. She works collaboratively with her patients so they can better understand themselves and take steps toward change. Shelly helps patients to feel empowered and tap into their self-compassion as they do this important work. In addition to her work in the areas listed below, Shelly finds her work across the lifespan with those who experience anxiety particularly rewarding.

Shelly is a Licensed Master of Social Work, with an MSW from The University of Houston and a BS in Psychology from The University of Houston-Downtown. Prior to joining Roche + Associates, she trained at a local independent school district, where she provided individual and group sessions for students of all ages. In addition, she has also provided services at a large community agency (Jewish Family Services), where she provided individual, group, and couples therapy and facilitated support groups. Shelly takes an integrative approach, based on the individual, and has training, certifications, and experience in a broad range of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, suicide assessment and intervention, couples therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

Shelly provides therapy at Roche + Associates’ location in Houston, TX and via Telehealth in the state of Texas.

Fees are paid at the time of service, and Shelly does not accept insurance. However, the necessary documentation can be provided to submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Roche + Associates clinicians are not Medicaid/Medicare providers.

Shelly is completing her clinical supervision under board certified clinical supervisor, Brittany Baker, LCSW-S, LCDC.
