She joins children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families to utilize their unique strengths, relationships, and capacity for change to address life stressors, relational difficulties, behavioral concerns, and struggles with mood and emotions.

Kathryn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with an MSW from the Silver School of Social Work at New York University (NYU). She has trained and worked in behavioral health and psychotherapeutic settings throughout the country, including Brooklyn Technical High School in Brooklyn, NY, the Association to Benefit Children in Manhattan, NY, the UTHealth Center of Excellence on Mood Disorders, and DePelchin Children’s Center in Houston. Kathryn has training in various styles of practice, including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Play Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Trust-Based Relational Intervention, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma and Grief Component Therapy for Adolescents, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Kathryn brings elements of her therapeutic specializations to her work while maintaining a warm and non-judgmental atmosphere with a focus on the relationship she builds with her clients.

Kathryn is a practitioner of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and she utilizes her training with individuals, couples and families to support growth and healing in relationships facing conflict. EFT is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on building connection and emotional understanding in the most important relationships in our lives. If you find yourself stuck in patterns of conflict and miscommunication, and you are unsure of what would help or what to do to rebuild relationships with the important people in your life, you may benefit from working with a therapist who integrates EFT principles into treatment. Kathryn helps individuals, couples, and families to access and understand the intentions and emotional needs being expressed within families and will work with you to find new ways to communicate and connect in your relationships, in order to re-establish the comfort and security in your relationships.
